QuickGuide: Podesi Home screen (centralni ekran) – Set default Home screen on Android 4.4.2 (LG Optimus)

Innovation emerges out of a need to solve certain problems or challenges – to make life or work easier. Solving problems is sometimes matter of a pure coincidence, yet sometimes result of being… persistent. My Android, somehow (wanted to drive my poor self crazy), set my Home button to be linked to far left screen, which was completely empty and… annoying. I wanted it on my central, middle screen!

I knooow, there is a solution somewhere, out-there, on-line… but wasn't really successful in finding it. So, I did some diggin’ myself… and here goes, it's actually reeeealy simple. Smartphone model: LG D320n Optimus l70

Switch to your central/middle or whatever screen you want to link to “Home” button.

Press and hold on screen. Apps – Widgets – Wallpapers may appear, and your screen, too, minified.

Press and hold on that minified version of central/middle screen. All of your screens (minified versions) appear now.

Press “Set default Home screen“. Now, all screens get home-like icon.

Press only one screen, the one you want to link your “Home” button to.

(should say) Default Home screen set

Press Home button again. Voila! Now in pictures:

Pritisni i drži sad i na taj mali ekran. Pojave se svi tvoji ekrani, samo smanjeni.

Pritisni dugme “Set default Home screen”.

Pritisni ponovo Home.

U slikama to izgleda… kako je priloženo. Meni zatrebalo, možda bude od pomoći i nekom drugom.

Setup 3G Dongle on TF101 with PPP Widget on KatKiss-KitKat #023c

I had a lot of problems setting up my Huawei E173 3G USB Dongle with ASUS Transformer TF101 on newly installed KatKiss-KitKat #023c ROM (Android 4.4), so after finally getting it to work, here are some tips that might help the others. Provider –  BH Mobile / BH Telecom – Bosna i Hercegovina.

KatKiss KitKat 4.4.2

Note:

#1 Dock battery should be over 25% [ whether it makes sense or not…it worked better for me ]
#2 Unlike default system (4.0.3 if I remember well), this ROM will not auto-detect/mount your USB device
#3 WIFI shloud be OFF

These are my PPP Widget settings

Access Point Name [required] >>> mine was minternet.bhmobile.ba (check with your carrier/provider)

Check and set PIN [required] >>> enter your PIN – BHMobile default is “0000”

Use WiFi to show PPP connection status >>> ON
Disable USC Device sleep >>> ON

Automatic device detection >>> ON
Manual port selection >>> ON [important]
Modem port – enter “ttyUSB0” — do not use another USB port at te same time!

Notify system about network access >>>  ON
Enable logging >>>  ON

PPP-Widget

Turn your Android OFF now (rebooting does not work).

Go to PPP Widget screen. Press green PPP widget icon.
Widget should be waking your device up… Connect button available soon.
Do not get discouraged if you do not connect from the first attempt.
Keep trying – it really works!

I will try to upload some screenshots later.

Hope it helps!
